Klimkin and Kurz made the statement about elections in Donbass

During the visit to frontline Mariupol the head of MIA of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin and new OSCE chairman, the Federal Minister of European, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz made the statements about conditions, when elections in Donbass will take place.

‘We all understand that we must make Russia to carry out Minsk agreements’, the head of MFA of Ukraine said.

According to his words, the conditions of holding the elections in the Separate Districts of Luhansk and Donetsk Regions (SDLaDR) are total ceasefire, carrying out the peace agreements by country-aggressor, access on occupied territories to OSCE and international organization representatives.  

‘When it will be done, when conditions to move further will be supplied, we will begin to prepare free and fair elections’, Ukrainian minister claimed.

In its turn, new OSCE chairman, the Federal Minister of European, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz has focused that ‘the base for effective work of the Special Monitoring Mission of OSCE must be real ceasefire’.

‘It’s also must become the base for holding of free and fair elections, we’ve talked about it earlier’, the OSCE head resumed.
