EU doesn’t recognize ‘LPR’ and ‘DPR’ passports

European Union doesn’t recognize passports and other documents, issued by self-proclaimed ‘LPR’ and ‘DPR’. Official representative of the head of European diplomacy Federica Magerini Maya Kotsjanichich has accentuated attention on this fact. ‘Interfax-Ukraine’ reports.

‘Some time ago we’ve mentioned this decree, signed on February 18 by RF president and recognized a row of documents, issued to Ukrainian inhabitants of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. It was discussed with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov in Munich on February’, the press-secretary told on March 17 at Brussels’ briefing.

‘We consider that this decree contradicts the spirit of the Minsk agreements. We proceed from the idea that it’s necessary to protect territorial integrity, sovereignty and unity of Ukraine and totally use Minsk agreements. And we have been repeating that any travel documents, issued by ‘LPR’ and ‘DPR’, aren’t recognized by European Union’, Maya Kotsjanichich resumed.

We would remind that Russian Federation banks ‘Unicredit’ and ‘VTB’ started to service people with ‘passports’ of self-proclaimed ‘LPR’ and ‘DPR’.
