‘Ukrainian East’: Exhibition, dedicated to defense of Donbass from Russian aggression, opened in Kyiv

The President Peter Poroshenko with his wife and ATO warriors visited the exhibition ‘Ukrainian East’, which is dedicated to heroic struggle of Ukrainian Nation against Russian and terrorist troops in Donbass. The press-service of the head of the country reports about it.

The exhibition consists of sections, in which is told about participation of different military formations, volunteer battalions in the warfare on the East of Ukraine.

‘Collected together, these museum stories reproduce heroic and tragic events of 2014 – 2017, in which the destiny of Ukraine is solving. There are artifacts, connected with first military clashes with Russian terrorists, are presented, first losses are described and personal path of the Heroes of this war is shown. In particular, there are personal belongings of General Sergei Kulchytsky, Maidan activist and Afghan soldier Oleg Mikhnyuk, defender of Avdeevka Andrey Kyzyl, ‘cyborgs’ of the Donetsk airport and dozens and dozens of brave and unconquered Ukrainian soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine’, tells the message of press-service.

As it was noted, artifacts from the advance, special exhibits, recreating the atmosphere and spirit of hostilities, national flags and amulets that passed the fire of the War of Independence are collected too.

Museum exhibition project ‘Ukrainian East’ was created to the Day of Heroes of Heavenly Hundred and third anniversary of the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine and dedicated to heroism and sacrifice of patriots of Ukraine, who stood on Eastern areas of our state for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
