12 years of prison: the court sentenced the ‘Minister of Internal Affairs’ of ‘DPR’

So-called ‘Minister of Internal Affairs’ of terrorist ‘DPR’ was sentenced in absentia to 12 years of imprisoning. The press-service of Prosecutor’s office of Donetsk region has reported about it.  

Facebook post tells that on Tuesday, May 6 The board of judges of the Dzerzhinsky City Court of the Donetsk region passed a guilty verdict against the former deputy head of the department – head of the anti-trafficking department of the Department for Combating Trafficking in Persons of the State Management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region Dikii A.A.

‘It was detected in time of court hearings that Aleksei Dikii on May 2014, violating oath of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine together with terrorist organization ‘DPR’ representatives took part in capturing of an administrative building of Department for Combating Organized Crime in Donetsk region, Donetsk city’, tells the message.

According to data of pre-trial investigation it was detected that left in NGCA, Dikii became a member of the terrorist organizations ‘DPR’. Ex-policeman was appointed to the post of the First Deputy of the Minister of Internal Affairs of ‘DPR’. And in the beginning of 2015, after he was assigned ‘Hero of DPR’ rank. Aleksei Dikii got the post of the so-called ‘Minister of Internal Affairs’ of ‘DPR’.

Because Dikii is in NGCA, he was sentenced in absentia.

‘The court, supporting the position of the state prosecution – the prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk region, recognized citizen Dikii A. A. guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced in absentia to 12 years imprisonment’, the press-service of Donetsk Prosecutor’s office writes.
