Russia is preparing sanctions to Poland for the demolition of the Soviet past

The Council of the Federation of Russia asked RF president Vladimir Putin to entrust to profile institutions to develop sanctions according to Poland, because of the law on the dismantling of monuments to Soviet soldiers.

‘We ask to instruct the specialized federal executive bodies to submit comprehensive proposals on the possible introduction of restrictive measures in the areas of bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Poland and also according to Poland Parliamentarians – the initiators of the law of April 1, 2016 on the ban of communistic propaganda or other totalitarian system and other individuals and legal entities’, tells the message.

We would remind that on July 17, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda signed amendments to the law on the prohibition of propaganda of communism, which, in particular, provide for the demolition of Soviet monuments.
