Vandal, broken the monument to Heavenly Hundred, was arrested for 60 days with the possibility of a mortgage

Sevastopol resident Jury Chekanov, who destroyed the Border to Heroes of Heavenly Hundred in the center of Kyiv on October 5, received a preventive measure in the form of custody for a period of 60 days with the possibility of making a pledge of 320 thousand UAH (~$11 850). UNIAN has reported about it.

Such decision was adopted by the judge of Pechersk district court of Kyiv Roman Novak, having satisfied the petition of the prosecutor’s office about the measure of restraint for the suspect.

‘The decree also says that the suspect must pass the passport and other documents that give the right to leave Ukraine. The pledge can be made either personally or by the pledger. This decision may be appealed to the Court of Appeal of Kiev within 5 days’, tells the message.
