OSCE head and MFA of Germany reacted on the extension of a ‘special status of Donbass’

The head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Sebastian Kurz welcomes the adoption of a law about extension of a special order of the self-government for occupied Donbass areas by Verkhovna Rada. The same opinion was expressed by MFA of Germany.

‘Greetings for today’s decision to continue Donbass special status. It’s very important step in right direction to further implementation of Minsk agreements’, Kurz wrote in his Twitter.

It’s noted that MFA of Germany that extension of an action of a law ‘On special status’ of NGCA was hard step, but demonstrated Ukraine’s commitment to its international commitments and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

‘A prerequisite for further progress is the steady stabilization of the security situation and a full and prolonged ceasefire’, German MFA added.

We would remind that the bill on reintegration of Donbass doesn’t provide the recovery of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and respectively it won’t work for the state. The ‘Opposition bloc’ leader Jury Boiko has claimed about it, commenting the voting for bills No.7163 and No.7164.
