Georgia claimed that RF once again encroaches on its sovereignty

The special representative of the head of Georgian Government on the relationships with Russia Zurab Abashidze classed planned visit of MFA head Sergei Lavrov in Sukhumi like ‘the violation of the sovereignty of Georgia’.

Also, future visit was appreciated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Jalaganiya, who called it ‘the ignoring international principles and laws’. ‘This is the regular attempt of the encroaching on the sovereignty of Georgia’, Jalaganiya added.

Georgian ministry called Russia to stop the practice of provocative actions and respect the territorial integrity of a sovereign state.

It’s noted in the document that ‘arrival of the Minister of foreign affairs of Russia to Abkhazia region with the violation of the state border of Georgia and illegal opening in Sukhumi of a new building of the diplomatic representation of Russia roughly violates the principle of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state (Georgia) within its international recognized borders and other fundamental norms of international law’.

‘Such actions continue the provocative policy of Moscow against Georgia and put the legalizing the violent change in the borders of a sovereign state as a goal. RF tries to legitimize occupation regimes without result’, MFA of Georgia claimed.

Foreign facility of Georgia also called Russia to ‘carry out taken international duties, including the ceasefire agreement of August 12, 2008’.
