Border guards of a separate checkpoint ‘Kyiv’ in ‘Zhulyany’ airport detained a Russian citizen who was in the international wanted list. The State Border Guard Service has reported about it.

In time of passengers registration of ‘Barcelona-Kyiv’ flight the Interpol database detected Russian citizen. Law enforcement of Russia were looking for a man of 1970 birth because of major fraud.

As of this fact the duty of the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol was informed. Suspect was transferred to the National police staff.

Also, it’s reported that after the connection of checkpoints to Interpol databases the State Border Guards almost daily detect offenders, documents and vehicles in international wanted on the border.

From beginning of the year Ukrainian border guards have already implemented almost 2 600 operations of the relevant database, while more than 1 800 lawbreakers and more than 180 stolen vehicles have been identified.
