Repressions against Crimean Tatars: Russia’s trying to outwit International Court of Justice

The head of Majlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov has claimed that while nothing points on Russia’s intentions to carry out the decision of the International Court of Justice and to stop the oppression of the Crimean Tatars.

‘We have already taken a number of actions, including appeals to the relevant courts of the Russian Federation, which occupied a part of the territory of Ukraine’, Chubarov reported in the commentary to ‘112 Ukraine’ TV-channel.

According to his opinion, RF is trying to find some other third variant, hybrid.

‘Russia can’t disregard the decision of the International Court of Justice, but at the same time Russia won’t carry out it. Most likely, they will create clone organizations and represent them as organizations of the Crimean Tatars’, Chubarov is sure.

We would remind that new facts of displacing from Crimea tatars and fighters for upholding the rights of indigenous people by Russian occupation ‘power’ were promulgated in the report of the Boris Nemtsov Foundation ‘For Freedom’ – ‘Political Persecution in Russia: Six Months of 2017’.
