‘Day of Political Prisoner’: activists demanded to release Crimean captives

Participants of a Russian initiative ‘Strategy-30’ have conducted an action the ‘Day of Political Prisoner’ in Moscow on September 30. Rally holders called to release Russian and Crimean political prisoners and to cancel repression articles of the Criminal Code of Russia. ‘Krym.Realii’ reported about this.

It’s reported that in time of the action people were holding posters about supporting of persecuted by the Russian authorities people by political reasons. In particular, Hizb ut-Tahrir, Russian publicist Boris Stomakhin, Crimean Tatar national leaders of the Crimean Tatar national movement Akhtem Chiyhoz and Ilmi Umerov, as well as Crimean journalist Nikolai Semena.

We would remind that a special foundation, which will accumulate funds to help journalists, suffered as a result of the war in Donbass and the annexation of Crimea, been captured, being IDP and got into difficult conditions, was created by the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU).
