Tomashevsky bridge in Luhansk region, damaged by militants in 2014, was repaired
Tomashevsky bridge in Luhansk region, damaged as a result of shellings from the side of fighters of pro-Russian armed formations. The press-center of ATO HQ reports about it in Facebook.
The bridge that connected two neighboring cities Lisichansk and Rubezhnoe was opened after total reconstruction on October 26. It was damaged by fighters on May 2014.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Luhansk Regional State Administration, Ukravtodor, State Transport Service and other departments were presented at a solemn opening.
‘It’s important that bridge was repaired by our military men – unit of the State Special Transport Service, which made a serious contribution to the demining of the region and now is restoring the infrastructure’, the NSDC Secretary Alexander Turchynov has reported.
It’s noted that tracks of total weight 22 tons can follow through this bridge. It’s the most short way from Luhansk to Donetsk region.
