The deputies of City Council of Mariupol supported the idea of renaming the square of Lenin in square of Freedom on June 30. The 0629.ua reports that Andrei Fedai informed about it. He told that such name was chosen in time of public hearings.

Also, deputies regarded the variant with name square of Peace. According to the results of voting 52 townsmen voted for square of Freedom, 41 for square of Peace, Soviet square — 2 persons (representatives of CPU), the square of Kuinji — 1 man and also 2 Mariupol’s residents wanted the square to has name of Agreement.
