Chief Editor of the “LPR” newspaper lied about himself and his colleagues

The main propagandist of the “LPR”, chief editor of the “21 century” newspaper Yuriy Yurov blamed journalists, who left Luhansk, in using western grants. “Young Ukrainian journalists grew up on western grants. “I want to fight for democracy in Ukraine”, — here you are – a grant. Representatives of the US State Department read lectures at journalist department”, — he told in interview to “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.

As it was reported to the Informator.lg.ua by a closed source, at the beginning of his journalist work Yurov actively used western grants. “At the beginning of 90s he worked as a head of pro-Ukrainian youth organization “Studentska molod Ukrainy” (Students Youth of Ukraine) and travelled all around Europe. He received the first grant as independent journalist from “Geneza” newspaper, which was published by Ukrainian Diaspora in Canada”, — the source told. According to his words in 90s Yurov received 5000 Deutsche Marks as a prize for article “Liberal triangular of Donbass” from Lviv journal “New Generation”. Considering prices in 90s, that amount was enough to buy a flat of three rooms in Kiev. It is also interesting that the article was written together with current Head of the Internal Policy Department – Sergey Chebanenko. “He received 5 marks for his work from Yurov”, — the source told.

We would remind you also that active participant of “Russian Spring” in Luhansk, ex-press officer of the Luhansk regional department of the “Party of Regions” and deputy of the CPU Yuriy Yurov was publishing “Respublica” newspaper.
