Vladimir, who serves in the battalion, reported the Informator.lg.ua that “Aydar” fighters haven’t got salary since May. “Someone got 400 hrivna, someone – 1000, but the most part didn’t get anything”, — the fighter told.

Vladimir’s regiment serves on the front defense line – in Zolotoe village, Luhansk region. It means that people, who risk their lives the most – don’t get salaries.

Correspondent of the Informator.lg.ua addressed the General Office of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Vladislav Seleznev – the Head of the General Office’s Press Service told that they know about the problem and try to resolve it. This delay was caused by too long bureaucratic procedures: commanders of the “Aydar” cannot say how many fighters they have.

“Commanders of detachments didn’t report heads of financial departments the number of personnel. That is why, despite the fact, that there is money on battalion’s account – we cannot pay it – Vladislav Seleznev explained. – Today two representatives of the General Office from financial department went to resolve the problem and pay salaries. There are two detachments at the moment, where fighters don’t get salaries – 24^th battalion “Aydar” and another one. But in second case, detachment was transferred from one brigade to another and it created some difficulties. In “Aydar’s” case – there is money on the battalion’s accounts and it will be paid the moment, when commanders will report about the number of fighters”.

Formally, 24^th separate assault battalion “Aydar” is from military unit №2950, which is located in Poltava, and financial department is there too. But fighters on the front line don’t care about bureaucratic issues. They face problems because of nonpayment.

“The problem is that we cannot burry out dead brothers. Ministry of Defense doesn’t allocate money even for funerals, — Vladimir told. – We tried to ask about problems in our financial department, but there are only new excuses. We don’t care about their problems, we need just humane attitude”.

Vladislav Seleznev told also that the Ministry of Defense held a meeting on June 4, where they discussed questions of fighters’ payments.

“The Minister severely reprimanded Ivan Mark – the Head of the Financial Department — for such failures, — Selznev told. He told that if such situations will occur again – they will take some decisions about personnel”.
