Six months in dungeons of “LPR”. The memories of a prisoner (part 4)

“Militants” also fall into captivity to insurgents of “LPR”. Captured fighters of “people’s republics” have to endure the torture and humiliation of their colleagues is no less than the rest of the prisoners. Luhansk inhabitant Aleksei Sergeevich, who sat in one of the cells of fighters for “Russian world” almost half a year, tells about this in the fourth part of his memories.

Part 4. Us vs. them

Once in the evening security imposed under the arms the man and demanded from us to free one of the close to the exit mattresses. When he was let down to a free place and he was sat, he fell down and laid without any moving. I was shocked about his face. It was puffy, dark of purple color with narrow slits of the eyes. He absolutely didn’t react on the surroundings, he breathed often and superficial. The medics from hospital, which a library of East-Ukrainian National University become, very often came to him. The gathered around this man with worried faces, they tried to speak with him, examined him and feel the pulse. The medics quietly talked to each other, but it was understandable from the conversation that patient was hopeless. Less than an hour he was taken away from our cell. Prison telegraph worked very fast. It became known that this man was the auto mechanic or car mechanic in one of Ukrainian military units, located in Svatovo and made the repair of heavy machinery. He really didn’t like it, because he sympathized to separatists. He deserted from his unit and through the fields bypassing highways and checkpoints snuck in Luhansk. After his appearing he came to separatists and with happiness reported about his arriving, told who he was and from where he came. But in a moment he was ushered to «rapid response team» (RRT) — unit of “Batman”. He was suspected in espionage. So, RRT had the worked out interrogation methods… I think that after such “hot” reception from the side of Luhansk separatists mount deserter bitterly repented of his act, but it was too late. Nobody saw him after he was taken out from our cell… Probably, his corpse, also like corpses of tortured people were moved out from the city line and thrown away in a forest belt.

In time when I was in the first cell, two drunk men were thrown there. They were incriminated the attack on the sentry. I don’t know what there was at the reality, but they told that they much got drunk. One of them was the militant in another squad and the second has only enrolled there. He was given a place in barracks, the machine gun and they got drunk when they celebrated it. They passed out the Eastern Ukrainian University where location of “Batman” was and where we were in deduction… And they applied or pounced to the horal… So, one of them caught him for the barrel of a gun. Horal decided that it was attack on him and called the aid with walkie-talkie. They were captured and moved “on the cellar”.

One of them was locked with the handcuffs behind his back and as I understand he was tight tightened. They threw him on his back and he was fat man, of course, he fell and hurtly hit his arms. He began to complain that he was hurt and demanded to remove handcuffs and free him. Nobody payed attention for it. The second comrade was knocking at the door and asked to remove the handcuffs. He was sent. We said to him: “Calm down! Don’t tease them now!” He didn’t react and only had been knocking at the door and demanding. He got a hit in his head. We began to persuade him: “Calm down, it will be only worst for you”. “No, it’s my comrade, he’s hurt”. He knocks once again and once again get hit. And his comrade claims at this moment: “By thy way, I’m for The United Ukraine! I went into the squad to my son to coax him to go out from there”. There was prisoners-separatists who immediately told him. “Maniak” came in, rubbing his hands, and said: “You felicitously got us”. They drag him into torture room. I don’t know what they did with him, but screams were awful from there. He was brought back after some time and threw on the floor. As I understood
“maniak” “got tired”. “Khokhol” appeared after some time, he knew this story. He ordered to man to get up, but he couldn’t. “Khokhol” caught him on the leg and dragged him in the torture room once again. There were screams once again. He was brought back after some time once again, but he had hardly moaned but still demanded to remove the handcuffs, because he was hurt. “Khokhol” became angry with it, he began to foal, withdrew to a distance for takeoff and running jumped on his breath. There was a crackling. This prisoner became silent.

«That’s a beast, bitch, you’re finally stalled!” — said “Khokhol”.

This “militant” moaned, twitching and died in the morning. The head of the hospital, organized in this University, was called. It was old woman with the callsign “Tigra”. I was shocked about her reaction.

She asks the warden: “Do I need to sign somewhere that I witnessed the death? No? Ok, so I go back”.

This means — he died and whatever… They gave to two prisoners a blanket: “Load this shit!”.

They carried him out on the blanket, loaded him in a car and as they have told they moved him out in forest plantations, threw away and that’s all.

This story had the continuing. As I told this man was in one unit with his son. His friend could give the information about the death of the man outside.

Two drunk separatists were thrown in the cellar. They turned from the same unit that beaten died man. It was the unit of “Lis”. He asked to give the information to the commander: “The father of “Doctor” was beaten to death and they are carrying me here! Let commander didn’t call to “Batman” and come by himself”.

The son with commander and fighters came. The friend of died told about everything with presence of “Batman”. The son knew that his father was beaten till the death by his comrades. He demanded to bring him back the body.

“He was my father!” — said the son.

Batman laughed at his face and said: “Well, how I must know that he was your father?”. The friend of died thought that he would be taken away, but they leaved him back to the cellar and he was awfully beaten”. He was constantly beaten and mocked by them. The “Batman” came by himself and said: “You, bitch, do you understand that information came to the leadership of “LPR” because of you?!”.

to be continued…
