The reasons to get “on the cellar” in “Luhansk People’s Republic” are impressed not only with diversity, but also with awkwardness. The real reasons for custody didn’t often any connection to the formally charged. The inhabitant of Luhansk Aleksei Sergeevich told about this to readers of informator.lg.ua in the fifth part of his memories about prisoning in the captivity of “people’s state”.

Part 5. Social alien element

I sat with two young guys, who was cruel tortured, in so-called “death row”. They didn’t almost get u, were strongly beaten, had the trails of cuttings on their hands and legs. “Maniak” had a lot of fun.

They were arrested when they they were going out from wagon on the railway station in Luhansk. They had a conflict with the female-conductor of waitress of wagon-restaurant. She dialed somebody and guys were arrested on their way out from the train. They were incriminated that they were spies or agents, “Right Sector” etc. Also there were medics with us. The only guilty that they had was that they came in Luhansk to get the insulin and move it in Stanitsa Luhanska on the controlled territory. They were incriminated that the were going to give this medicine to Ukrainian militaries. They were explaining that they got the medicines under the order of “Ministry of “LPR”. This medicines were for the civil population. Moreover, this insulin came in Luhansk from the controlled by Ukraine territory. The “militants” weren’t convinced by this arguments. This medics were arrested and beaten. And then it turned out that everything is much simpler. When one of them asked to provide him the medical aid, the medical workers came and he recognized among them his former subordinate, whom he dismissed for gross violations of their work. She took offense at him, and as soon as possible, he immediately went to the basement.

Once, the 16-year old girl was thrown to us. Maybe, she was from not very prosperous family. She was sent as a present on the positions of “militants” as a punishment and it was not once.

Sometimes separatists-Russians were thrown to us into the basement. They usually were absolutely drunk. They weren’t held for a long time. Their commanders came for them after the few days of correctional works. There were criminals into the cellar. Somebody wrote the application in the commandant office about raping. He was arrested. It  was found that he merged gasoline from the military equipment, looting, raping, and sold weapons. Of course he told who’s keeping the weapon. He was thrown into the cellar in the separate cell. First time they said that he would be shot, then they said that he would be brought to the minefield to dimine it with himself. He was strongly beaten. Afterwards this “awful” malefactor was released by his friends-separatists with the knowledge and permission of the guards. It turns that I’m more criminal than arms dealer, a rapist and marauder. This is because he is theirs, and I’m an alien… One debauchee was thrown to us and one of the security said to another that let him sleep here off and then you would free him in the morning, he’s closer social element for us. And I was thinking : why I have been staying here for such a long time? It’s because I’m socially alien element.
