Front line in Krymskoe village differs from others in Luhanshchina. There are less trenches and shelters, small houses and picturesque outskirts around the village. But despite such beauty people only dream about peaceful sky.
The war goes shoulder to shoulder with life. Medic of the battalion “Kiev-2” with a pseudonym “Doc” told about pleasant moments on the front line.
“A child was born a few days ago in Krymskoe. The most interesting is that it was the first child since the beginning of the war. Mother was in labour alone – at home, it was her third child and she has already had some practice. We drove them both to hospital in the afternoon, checked – everyone was healthy”.
Ukrainian servicemen control all heights. The locality is well within view, till the very border of the “republic”. Perimeter is controlled even at night – with infrared imager. All day long the territory is scanned with binoculars. Soldiers are aware all the time.
“We keep strategically advantageous height in Krymskoe, as in 41st Soviet army hold the line here. That is why we also hope to protect this territory against occupants”, — fighter of the battalion “Kiev-2” with a pseudonym “Dantist” tells.
Servicemen manage to intercept fighters’ talks and get a lot of important information. They inform their positions and others daily.
“We manage to catch some channels and intercept. They work on open frequencies. But that is just general information. There is no information about movement of troops and place of their deployment. According to talks and discipline of fighters it is obvious that it is absolutely army structure. There were cases when we received information about movement of separatists to the territory of Ukraine disguised as civilians. We knew cars they drove, even information about them. And if relevant services paid more attention to such nuances, we could have caught such “separs”, — fighter of the battalion “Kiev-2” tells.
It is relatively quiet in Krymskoe village. Fighters hold the line during days and nights. Krymskoe is ours.
