The famous thesis of Leonid, our lovely Danilovich Kuchma that Ukraine is not Russia turned from the banal statement into the main postulate of Ukrainian National idea and the next it was transformed into «Who are you? Fuck off, we don’t know you» by the group «Cossack system» in their song «Manifest».

It’s predictably enough happened, that liberation from the «brotherly» embraces  became not only necessary, also the sufficient condition of the existence of Ukrainian people. The outbreak war is the more proof for this. Do you like it or not, we need to insulate ourselves from “brothers” and better to fence off as strong as possible. The complex of the actions which was proclaimed by our power about the decommunization is very actual, but unfortunately it carries more declarative character and didn’t project in something more than dismantling of the monuments to “grandpa Lenin”. However, we can remove our shameful past to the places where it must be: in the museums, to their special exhibitions, to the “parks of the Soviet period” and the most part on the trash of the history. Also, there we can send all Soviet holidays, without any exclusion, without any tries to transform 23th of February in the “Boys’ Day”, like some chiefs of school, where my son studied, tried to do. It’s more cheaper and useful for the future to cancel also the “Girl’s Day”, without resulting the clumsy excuses of this obscurantism, that it is our history. The place of history is in museums.

But one holiday I would suggest to leave. It’s The Day of Airborne Forces. Difficult fate of migrant sometimes throws up difficult and amazing discoveries, one of them became the Day August 2 of the last year. How this day was held in Luhansk I clearly remember. Completely antisocial personalities appeared this day in the city. Their appearance didn’t have anything common with military prowess, heroism or combat brotherhood. With nothing at all. Rather, it’s hard to say that “personalities appeared”, the same people roamed in this city in usual days, but they hide their “teeth” this time. They successfully pretended to be normal people, and at this holiday they always show their real face.

Lords the paratroopers, I’m asking to understand me clearly, I know that not all of you took part in this madness, I don’t blame everyone with discrimination, I’m speaking only about those who need only a reason for bacchanalia. And it is the beautiful reason! The apotheosis of The Day of Airborne Forces became the last year with races through the city on the APC’s. The common past and closeness to Russia it’s the one of main things to overcome as soon as possible. But, thanks to Leonid Danilovich, Ukraine is really not Russia!

It happened that at this day the migrant turned up in one of the remote cities from our “brotherly” people Vinnitsa. We didn’t especially arrive just in time and we were going to watch the famous Vinnitsa fountain on the waterfront… I don’t want to say what is the name of the waterfront, because I don’t want to create an impression, that I’m making the advertising to somebody, whatever. So, there is the waterfront of the river South Bug, there is not far from this waterfront the fountain. To those, who didn’t see this wonder I can advise to find time and funds and to go there to watch, because you can’t find any analogs in Ukraine.

So, hypothetically, if such fountain was located in Luhansk and if there was peace, I’d never and under any circumstances go on such event with my family. Maybe, I’d come there with three-four strong friends, but with family at August 2 to the fountain I pass.

Surprisingly, it became clear to me that day that we still have a chance, if we can see in a many thousands of people city guys in berets with flags with inscription on them «Who can do this if not us»  etc. The guys looked not so sober, it’s understood they had a holiday. The cars were passing by and alarm to them, maybe the drivers were also from The Airborne Forces. So, this heated gentlemen in the «vests» wayed through a crowd of people, and there was not overcrowded in the evening on the waterfront near the fountain. The waterfront is big and wide and the dozen of thousands of people gather there. I think, that among them not everyone is sober. That is, you know, the situation is close to the tense, I thought.

I looked at the “berets” by force of habit, while it didn’t become clear that there was anything to worry about. Then there was the performance, by the way, very interesting and people began to diverge after it. And everything was in a calm way, of course we saw “berets” once again and they didn’t were silent (because “Glory to Ukraine” and so on), but without accidents at all. Today’s evening (I was writing this also on August 2, but not in Vinnitsa, in Kamenets-Podolsky) I will go for a walk with my family and to the fountain for sure. The fountains are more simple in Kamenets and children swim there in the heat. I need to go there, to check, if there something thought me in Vinnitsa last year: are we  really different from them?
