The President of Ukraine Peter Poroshenko has satisfied a statement on the resignation of the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine 61-year-old Viktor Nazarenko. The cause of the departure of the chief border guard from his post was the state of health.

An unpleasant incident, which happened on July 21 in the Administration of the President of Ukraine, preceded the resignation of the head of the State Border Guard Service. In time of the performance of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with an official visit in Kyiv, the head of SBS lost consciousness.

The official was provided with medical care and later hospitalized.

Nazarenko was appointed on the post of the head of SBS in October 2014. Before that he was was the first deputy of the chairman of the service. Lieutenant General Petr Tsigikal, Director of the Operational Activities Department of the Frontier facility has become the new head of SBS.
