Cities, streets and road signs will be “Russianized” in “DPR”

Fighters will dismantle plates with Ukrainian names of cities, streets and institutions in occupied cities of Donetsk region on 6th of June. They will be changed by similar plates in Russian. “Russianization” of occupied territories will be realized within celebration of the “Day of Russian language”. It was reported by dnr-online.ru
Aleksandr Paretskiy – the acting “Minister of Culture” of “DPR” commented on the initiative of “public organization “Young republic”. When I talk to foreign journalists I ask them a rhetorical question “Why all sings around are in Ukrainian when 90% of people speak Russian?”. No one has answered this question yet. That is why I suppose that those changes are logical, reasonable and there is nothing strange”, — he stated.
We would remind you that fighters of “Donetsk People’s Republic” removed “ь” symbol from Ukrainian name of Donetsk city in May. The letter was dismantled from a monument on the gate of occupied city
