Representatives of “trade union of miners of LPR” came out to the “government of republic” with the offer to make October 14 the holiday for miners, working on the occupied territory of Luhansk region. According to the information of the closed source, such initiative led opposition from the side of “top-brassers”. In particular, the idea with holiday on October 14 was called the “diversion” in the “Ministry of State Security of LPR”.
“Trade union wanted miners to have a rest on Pokrov (Orthodox holiday). “Top-brassers” insist that The Day of Creation of OUN-UIA and also The Day of Defender of Motherland are celebrating in current Ukraine that day”, the source explained.
We would remind that holiday Pokrov (Protection of the Virgin) on October 14 is widely celebrated by Eastern Rite Christians. Also, Russian Orthodox Church, widely spread on occupied territory of Luhansk and Donetsk region, celebrate this holiday too.
