The portrait of Bandera was mounted except Lenin on the enter to Dnepropetrovsk

Activists mounted memorial sign to the leader of Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists Stepan Bandera in Dnepropetrovsk. According to the report of Radio Svoboda, the action was dedicated to the Birthday of conductor of OUN, which is celebrated on January 1.

The sign with the portrait image of Stepan Bandera was made from steel by masters-activists. It was installed in the order over Lenin on the stele “Dnepropetrovsk”.

Activists noticed that portrait of Bandera is on the enter to Dnepropetrovsk from the side of Donbass, which must symbolize the support of the patriotic ideas in Eastern Ukraine.

According to words of the participants of action the installation of the image of Bandera except Lenin is the try to help with the “decommunization” of the city by own forces and also peculiar test for dwellers and Dnepropetrovsk power “on patriotism and respect for the  ideals of the Revolution of Dignity”.

Stepan Bandera was born on January 1, 1909 in the village Stary Uhrinov of Kalushsky district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. He died on October 15, 1959 in Munich at the hands of KGB agent Bohdan Stashinsky.

We would remind that on October 14 more than 2000 people gathered on Mikhailovskaya square of Kyiv to celebrate the Day of Defender of Ukraine. “March of Heroes” takes place in the capital in celebration. The participants of the march chant slogans like “Bandera will come and set an order!”, “Poroshenko out!”, “Freedom to prisoner of conscience!”.
