Drones, made in China, refuse to blast off on the territory of occupied Crimea. A huge Chinese manufacturer of drones added changes in the software of devices. Specialists suppose that it happened, because of US sanctions. “Weekly arguments – Crimea” reports that this is about drones of firm SZ DJI Technology “Phantom” model of the 3rd Generation.
The owner of one of such devices told, that “Phantom”, bought in Moscow, refuses to hop off on Crimean territory.
“I tried to raise it to the sky closer to Simferopol, near Bakhchisaray – without any results”, told the owner. The apparatus all the time gives the inscription on the display monitor “You are in the no-fly zone”. Wherein, all Crimea marked with the red colour, which means no-fly zone. Experts, with whom “Weekly arguments – Crimea” contacted in the social media, have explained that customer got on the firmware of device, which doesn’t allow him to blast off on the territory of Crimea, determine the position of a copter on GPS. “Maybe, reflashed the “Phantom” on the previous version, problem will be solved, but it doesn’t always help”, they made unpromising conclusion and warned owners of “Phantom”, purchased earlier, not to renew firmware, because they can face with the same problem.
Experts supposed, that Chinese manufacturer put Crimea in no-fly zone for its devices, following the wishes of the USA, where DJI sales the biggest part of their devices.
We would remind that insurgents of “LPR” shot down the drone of the Special Monitoring Mission of OSCE near Stakhanov.
