Utility services have dismantled the second monument to Lenin on February 17 in Ismail of Odessa Region. According to the report of information agency “Trassa E-95” it took two hours to remove the monument.
Gypsum figure wasn’t kept entirely, because it divided on two parts. Dismantled sculpture doesn’t represent the artistic value. It was made from gypsum and stand from the bricks.
Parts of the sculpture were carried into the Ismail industrial management of water and sewage at the same place where a bronze statue of Lenin, dismantled on February 12 is located. There are no plans to mount other monument. Paving slabs are going to laid on the place of plinth.
We would remind that three monuments to Soviet figures were dismantled in Poltava Region during a day.
