Today, on December 6th Ukraine celebrates annual Day of creation of Armed Forces, which were formed after enactment of legislation on December 6, 1991. On this occasion, President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko has recorded greeting to AFU with 25th anniversary in time of visiting Donbass. This video was published on the page of the head of state in Facebook.
‘I sincerely congratulate with 25th anniversary of the creation of Armed Forces of Ukraine right here, at the forefront of Ukrainian Defense, together with Ukrainian heroes, who are carrying out today very important mission in the state – they protect our Freedom, protect our Independence, protect our Sovereignty. I’m proud to be among them. I’m proud that we have such Armed Forces. I’m proud that we have built during this 2.5 years. Great thanks to everyone, who joined to the building of a new army of Ukraine during this 2.5 years. Glory to Ukraine’, the President noted.

The AFU structure includes Ground Forces, Air Force and Navy. Highly mobile airborne troops and Special Operations Forces were included in AFU as separate combat arms in 2016.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands to provide immediately access to consuls to Ukrainians, detained arrested on suspicion of preparing acts of sabotage in the occupied Crimea. The speaker of MFA of Ukraine Mariana Betsa has reported about it in her Twitter.

‘Occupant doesn’t change his methods. Repressions are increasing. We demand from RF to provide to consuls the immediate access to Ukrainian citizens’, Mariana Betsa has written.
The Ministry of Defense is waiting from state-partners nearly for $175 mln. of help on army needs. The head of Defense institution Stepan Poltorak reported in the interview to ‘Narodna armiya’ (Preople’s army) paper that help will come till the end of this year and in 2017.
State-partners will provide vehicles and spares, connection equipment, night vision equipment, equipment for field hospitals.
‘Eight NATO special trust funds for Ukraine, four programs of NATO and aid from the allies on a bilateral basis are directed to realize concrete projects. Advisory and consultative support for Ukraine from NATO is displayed on a strategic level and covers 10 areas’, Poltorak noted.
Together with that the minister has reported about spent funds on defense budget. According to his words, rocket and artillery and armored weapons, military equipment, airplanes and helicopters, reconnaissance and surveillance, automotive electronics and other types of weapons and military equipment were bought on them.
‘17 new samples of weaponry and vehicles have been accepted on arms during this year’, Poltorak clarified.
Fighters have driven together 10 000 people to celebrate ‘St. George Ribbon’s Day’. According to the information of separatist media people gathered forcibly in Pervomaisky square, where solemn meeting took place.
According to report, at the same time with the beginning of the meeting the cadets of ‘Donetsk Higher Military Command School’ have stretched 300-meter ‘George’s Ribbon’ on Universitetskaya street.
It’s expected that ribbon will be deposited to ‘Republican regional museum’ after the ‘celebration’.
Besides, social media reports that students and schoolchildren are forcibly driven together too. At the same time lessons dedicated to striped symbol of the ‘Russian spring’ (events and accidents on the East of Ukraine and Crimea which brought hard circumstances for Ukrainian people) are planned to be held at schools today.
SSU staff together with Fiscal Service have exposed the scheme of legalization of a coal in ATO area. The press-service of the dept reports that officials of the State concentrator of Donetsk region were buying low-quality coal for cash or through the bogus companies and shipped it in thermal power stations and thermoelectric plants as the coal of high quality.
‘This mix shipped for the needs of energy sphere in thermal power stations and thermoelectric plants as the coal of high quality. In general, during 2014-2016 factory supplied enterprises of energetic sphere ‘coal’ worth more than 260 million hryvnia (~$10 mln.)’, SSU press-service accented.
Criminal proceedings has been begun on p. 3 art. 212 of Criminal Code of Ukraine.
