Library recovery in Luhansk region, ‘DPR, continues to scoff at SSU, biggest part of Ukrainians is for armed repulse against Russia, underground plant for the production of counterfeit alcohol in Slavyansk, the elections on the North of Donetsk region, shortage of electricity in Crimea.
$16 000 were allocated from local budget to repair Novopskov Central library for children. According to the report of Luhansk Regional Military-Civilian Administration website, the building was roofed, frontage was insulated, windows were changed on energy-saving. Now accommodations of the library have comfortable conditions for readers and keeping of the book fund of the institution.
So-called Ombudsman of ‘DPR’ Daria Morozova said, that occupants are not going to give somebody from captives to Kyiv in response to a gesture of goodwill in Ukraine, claimed that will save 15 people from the list, sent earlier by insurgents.
‘We are ready to accept fifteen people, but only unilaterally. We won’t deliver up anybody in retort. We reminded to Kyiv that we give up enough unilaterally,’ Morozova claimed to Russian Interfax agency.
At the same time Morozova expressed hope that ‘it could be possible to realize kartell in format ‘all on all’.
Yesterday, on December 16, it became known that ‘DPR’ once again disrupt the kartell: except almost 50 they agree to release only 8 people in exchange for 228 their supporters, ‘closed’ by Ukrainian top-brassers.
We remind that advisor of the President Jury Tandit noticed that 58 Ukrainian hostages are languishing in the dungeons of ‘L/DPR’.
At the same time 57% of Ukrainians are in favor of armed resistance in case if Russia begin open full-scale war against Ukraine (34% consider that it must be done anyway, 23% – in case if the guarantees of the international support will be). Centr Razumkova (Ukrainian social research center) promulgated this data.
12% of the respondents hold that Ukraine must capitulate in this situation. 31% of respondents undecided.
The biggest number of undecided is among respondents, who consider Ukrainians and Russians ‘fraternal people’ (41%). At this group of respondents also 40% consider that Ukraine at this situation must repulse with arms and 20% that surrender.
Among those who consider Ukrainians and Russians ‘fraternal people’ 87% consider that Ukraine must defend. Relative majority (42%) of respondents don’t believe that Russia can start open full-scale war against Ukraine (35%).
The older the respondents, the more they don’t believe in the possibility of such a war (the share of those representatives grows from 37% of the age 18-29 years to 47% among those who are 60 and more).
The research was held by social service Center Razumkova on November 18-23, 2016 in all Ukrainian regions except occupied territories.
The alcohol fakes are still spreading across the East of Ukraine. Underground plant for the production of counterfeit alcohol was liquidated in Slavyansk. The press-service of Donetsk regional prosecutor has reported about this.
Representatives of prosecutor together with tax police and top-brassers detected that in one of Slavyansk elite public houses alcohol production was produced from the raw materials of questionable quality, which was sold further like vodka, cognac, wiskey, wine and champagne.
More than 400 litres of dangerous surrogate totaling nearly $4500 and also bottles with brand labels, watering cans and twist were seized during sanctioned searches. Pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings in h. 3 tbsp. 204 of the Criminal Code (illegal manufacturing, possession and sale of excisable goods from poor-quality raw materials that threaten the health and life of humans) is continuing. At the moment operational-investigative and search actions are holding to detect the number of persons involved in the illicit business.
In connection with elections in local councils, which will take part in Slavyansk, Bakhmutsk and Konstantinovka districts (the North of Donetsk region) local police units moved into high mode by an order of the Chief of Police of Donetsk region Vyacheslav Abroskin.
Cops step up patrolling and guarding polling stations in Soledar of Bakhmutsky district, Nickolaevka of Slavyansk district and settlements of Konstantinovka district of Donetsk region, where first elections of villages, towns, local councils deputies in the unite territorial communities and relevant village, town and city heads.
To secure public order all staff of police of three districts is acted. Except this, to provide safety of citizens in time of expression 100 cops from Central Department and also National guards engaged. Police special squads also acted in preventive events. Rapid response team of State Department of National Police in Donetsk region will work 24/7, which will react on all messages from citizens.
Work in block-posts was strengthened, there were additionally mobile posts additionally. In order to prevent arms traffic, ammunition and explosives in block-posts and at polling stations, where dog handlers and explosive technologists have been already working.
General Abroskin ordered to draw out heads of Central Department in every settlement, where elections are held. They will coordinate actions of all acted services and to watch for the safety.
Police will work in emergency mode for three days, so people will have an opportunity to make their own choice free and in safety. The Communication dept. of Police of Donetsk region has reported.
Russian authorities applied to inhabitants of annexed Crimea with the request to limit using of household heating devices in order to prevent energy shortages in the cold, Russian mass media report.
In particular, an appeal tells that ‘it’s very important to use got power efficiently and economically and to comply the general rules of energy saving, which will significantly reduce the energy consumption’ in a cold time. Ministry of Energy assured that because of morning and evening cold the consumption of electricity in the peninsula more than 1.3 thousand. MW, which creates a deficit in the system.
‘At the moment all generating facilities of Crimea republic, including reserve autonomous power supply were acted’, Department clarified.
Except that, officials called owners and users of the trading objects to expend energy sparingly – ‘to low load of power consumption in peak hours’.
