UEFA is going to create the workgroup to examine legal aspects of the disciplinary activities of the penalties for demonstration of political slogans and symbolism in time of football matches. UEFA press-service reports that workgroup will include clubs and national associations.
‘UEFA doesn’t want football matches were used as the platform for political actions, but at the same time doesn’t want to put sanctions on any of clubs or national association in a case, when demonstration of the views during football match doesn’t have insult to a reasonable person and doesn’t provide the reasons for the objection’, tells the message.
Also UEFA claims that they’re ready to reconsider the borders of using the current Disciplinary Regulations for sanctions could be put only in those cases, when most sane people agree that they must be used.
‘Taking this into account, UEFA will establish workgroup with the participation of clubs and national associations, which will examine the legal framework for disciplinary activity and make appropriate recommendations’, noticed in the statement.
Ukrainian Federation was repeatedly punished for red and black flags and nationalistic slogans.
