A lot of people of occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions have made their own mini-fireworks by Kyiv time (self-proclaimed ‘LPR’ and ‘DPR’ live by Moscow time). At the same time, a big part of ATO veterans and volunteers expressed their perturbation that Ukraine, belligerent a third year, meets New Year with fireworks explosions.

Inhabitants of Alchevsk, Stakhanov, Luhansk, Donetsk, Makeevke claim that at 1 am by Moscow, 12 am by Kyiv, when New Year 2017 has come to all Ukraine, the firework volleys were heard in their cities.

‘Here is unexpected thing for occupants. Some people shot fireworks by Ukrainian time. You can’t cast everybody into the prisons. Places won’t be enough’, one of Twitter users has written.

At the same time volunteer fought in ATO zone, the head of Charitable Foundation Miroslav Guy, living in Kyiv’ expressed common thought of people, who perceives war in Donbass only through the TV-space.

I want Kyiv residents to remember well this day. First, queues in the shops, hype buying up all in a row, impossible to call the taxi, only expensive, people, fighting for the goods on the shells.
