SBU advisor Jury Tandit has claimed that the staff of their Department are going to work with MP Nadezhda Savchenko not to allow the promulgation of the lists of prisoners and missed Ukrainian military. He reported about it on air of ‘112 channel’.
According to his words, the publication of the lists of Ukrainians, who illegally held on the occupied territories and in Russia, could harm prisoners and their relatives.
‘We know these lists and we work with them. And don’t doubt, we’ll spend some outreach (with Nadezhda Savchenko – ed.) under the current legislation. There are some laws, which are limiting the release of any information with personal data. We fought in 2015, caught crooks, who were getting the information by the lists of our heroes, hostages, actually trying to get profite on the suffer of people’, Tandit claimed.
He also assured that new lists of prisoners is the difficult work enough.
‘It’s the firework, it’s a hard work. We mustn’t use this information for use goals, manipulate with these lists, make political PR. It’s important to remember about lives of these people, we must do everything to free these guys. It’s important to remember about missed. There are more than 490 people. The question is what for this publication must be?’, Tandit stressed.
SBU advisor explained that spreading of the surnames of POWs could harm their relatives, who are in heavy emotional state, because of these events. That’s why ‘any information, connected with the hostages, could have the character of not only useful information, but also harm near relatives. It’s very important to remember about it’.
‘ I want to assure that we do everything to release totally all POWs’, Tandit resumed.
