The first chieftain of self-proclaimed ‘LPR’ Valery Bolotov is dead. One of the ‘DPR’ ex-ringleaders, Russian political consultant Aleksander Borodai has claimed to RBC about the death of terrorist. Such information was confirmed by the source, close to Bolotov.
Borodai has reported that he knew about the death of 46-year old Bolotov from his intimates. He clarified, that he doesn’t know the details of a death.
RBC source, close to Bolotov, also confirmed the death of ‘LPR’ ex-chieftain on January 27.
Borodai has claimed that he will offer on behalf of the ‘Union of Donbass volunteers’ to authorities of occupied part of Luhansk region to immortalize memory of the ‘first leader’ of pseudo-republic, mounting a monument.
We would remind that on April 2014 Bolotov was elected on the ‘People’s Assembly’ of Luhansk residents as temporary acting as the ‘People’s governor’ of Luhansk region. He took part in the armed assault of SBU Department of Luhansk region building and was one of the commanders of ‘South-East army’. He resigned on August, 14, 2014, ostensibly after wound. Igor Plotnitsky changed him.
info: Bolotov is the native from Stakhanov (Kadievka now) of Luhansk region. He served in Vitebsk Airborne Division, took part in 1989 and 1990 hostilities in Yerevan and Nagorno-Karabakh, was the chairman of Union of veterans of Airborne troops of Luhansk region.
The last public interview of Bolotov was taken by ‘Rosbalt’ agency. ‘LPR’ ex-chieftain harshly criticized Plotnisky in it and assured that he was deprived his post as the result of conspiracy. He also claimed that Plotnitsky has appeared from nowhere and his battalion shelled on Luhansk neighborhoods.
