The criminal proceeding, regarding to ‘LPR’ chieftain Igor Plotnitsky and two commanders of the illegal armed formations (Patrushev and Gureev) in the case of downed plane IL-76 was directed into court. Their actions were qualified as terrorist act (p. 3, art. 258 CC of Ukraine).

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that Plotnitsky with his once deputy Patrushev and illegal armed formation ‘Vityaz’ commander Gureev are accused in the demolition of military transport aircraft IL-76 at the time of landing at Luhansk airport. It carried 49 people on board. This tragedy had happened on June 2014, when Plotnitsky was the commander of illegal armed formation ‘Zarya’.

The plane was destroyed by portable anti-aircraft missile system. All, who were on board, dead – 9 crew and 40 military.

Plotnitsky, Patrushev and Gureev got report about suspicion in this crime in absentia on July 2016. Because they’re out of controlled by Ukraine territory, the special prejudicial inquiry was held.
