Ukraine asked World Trade Organization to create a group, which took the decision to issue the limit of transit from Ukraine territory through RF. The Ministry of Economy and Development reported about it.
The deputy minister – the Sales Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolskaya commented this situation: ‘We are deeply convinced that the trading aggression of the Russian Federation, including the wrongful action to limit transit (and de facto – an almost complete ban) from Ukraine in third countries must obtain an objective assessment of WTO experts and of course they must be cancelled. We believe in validity of our position and will do our best to prove it’.
According to her words, the export from Ukraine to countries of Central/Eastern Asia has decreased on 38.3% comparing it with 2015 from the moment of the use of restrictive measures.
‘According to experts forecasts, nearly 79% of export supplies from Ukraine to Kazakhstan and 95% Kyrgyzstan have suffered from limits and partial ban from RF side’, tells the text.
‘The claim about the limitation of transit already become the second claim of Ukraine in WTO against Russia for the last time. The collection of materials to prepare next claim is carrying out. It will cover numerous bans and restrictions on the import of Ukrainian goods to Russia’, Department added.
