The leader of Crimean tatar people Mustafa Jemilev has claimed that nearly 20 thousand of Crimean tatars left the peninsula from the beginning of the Russian occupation. He reported about this on February 26 in time of telethon ‘Crimea. Three years of resistance’.
‘Nearly 20 thousand tatars have already left Crimea. They react on our calls: ‘you can’t guarantee to us that my son won’t be killed tomorrow’. We have nothing top answer here, Jemilev said and added that according to Crimean tatars Russia uses pushing out of the Crimean borders tactics. .
‘The different conditions are creating for tatars to leave peninsula. There were fears immediately after the occupation, that new deportation of tatars will be. All premisses were for it. But it hadn’t happened’, Jemilev explained.
