Donetsk region occupants have established new annual contest ‘Person of the year’. The corresponding ‘decree’ was signed by fighters’ chieftain Aleksander Zakharchenko. Separatist media reported that the aim of the competition was claimed as identification, promotion and public recognition of ‘DPR’ citizens, who has made a significant contribution to the development of the state by their achievements in various fields.

The contest will be consisted from two stages. First round is qualifying. It will be acting from the contest’s start till October 15, this year. The winners will be chosen by local organizing committees. The second round is ‘republic’. The leaders of local gathering will be nominated for the nominations: ‘Defender of republic’, ‘On guard of law and order’, ‘The act of the year’, ‘Leader’, ‘Young leader of the year’, ‘Republic’s hope’, ‘for high professional achievements’ and others. The second stage will be from October 16 till November 15.
