Famous Russian film-director Vladimir Menshov confirmed that he transferred funds to support NGCA, territories of ‘LPR’ and ‘DPR’.

‘I really transferred some money for Donbass. I don’t want to talk about it, don’t want to promulgate. It’s a pity that this step got publicity. What depends on Security Service of Ukraine, they don’t ask me about it’, Menshov said.

The fact that director transferred in favor of NGCA 1 mln. rubles (~$16 456) and laptop was promulgated by Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin in his Facebook post. He also posted gratitude from ‘Special operations battalion #1 medicine unit’.

According to Prilepin’s words Menshov had given 1 mln. rubles and laptop to ‘help Donbass’. This money, fighters’ representative confirms, had been spent on medicine and equipment.

SBU has been starting to check the information about financing of ‘DPR’ terrorists by Russian director Vladimir Menshov. SBU press-secretary Elene Hitlyandska has reported about it.

She noted that that if money were transferred to finance organizations, recognized terrorist in Ukraine, it’s a reason to start criminal proceedings.

‘But if it had been done like humanitarian aid to Donbass residents – it’s another case. That’s why we need to carefully examine this issue. Moreover, the propagandist could write one thing, but in reality everything was different’, Hitlyandska said.
