Military chaplains’ positions will appear in all combat units of AFU from May 15. The head of the General Directorate for Moral and Psychological Support Major-General Oleh Hruntkovsky.

‘Military chaplains’ positions will be introduced in all combat units from May 15. We held a poll in military units, studied the attitude to different faiths, compiled lists of candidates’, he said.

According to his words, chaplains are ready to work, they only have to pass an interview with the commanders of military units and receive appointments.

The general noted that introduction of chaplaincy in AFU will be done in two stages. First (till the end of June) military chaplains will be drawn out in fighting units. And till the end of the year into all AFU units.

From two to four chaplains will work in fighting brigades, according to Hruntkovsky words.
