General prosecutor’s office asks court to convict in absentia ex-member of Luhansk Regional Council Arsen Klinchayev

General prosecutor’s office has directed to court the petition for a special pre-trial investigation against former deputy of the Luhansk regional council Arsen Klinchayev. The press-service of General prosecutor’s office reports about it.

‘General prosecutor’s office of Ukraine has directed to court the the petition for a special pre-trial investigation щn part 3 of Article 109 (actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or on the seizure of state power) and Article 341 (seizure of state or public buildings or structures) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which is investigated by the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine, against former deputy of the Luhansk regional council’, tells the message of the press-service of General prosecutor’s office.  

‘Appointed person, as the power representative, being near Luhansk Regional Council building, on March 2014 had proclaimed public callings to violent change of the constitutional order in Ukraine and seized the building of the Lugansk Regional State Administration’, prosecutor’s office claims.

The press-secretary of General prosecutor Larisa Sargan has reported about fact that Klinchayev is suspected in her Twitter.

SBU confirms that from the summer 2016 Klinchayev is on the territory of Russia. Congress of the All-Ukrainian organization ‘Young Guard’, on which Klinchaev was presented as the chairman, took part in Moscow on April 2017. He performed on the session for the release of people, ‘sharing the Russian patriotic ideology’ from Ukrainian prison.
