The explosion happened at night on June 8 on the territory of the US embassy. Somebody threw explosive device. The National Police reported about it.

‘The report about explosion on the territory of the USA embassy in Shevchenko district of Kyiv was received by duty unit on June 8 at 12:05 am. Investigative and operational groups of the district and central police departments immediately arrived at the scene’, the department reports.

‘During the inspection it was detected that unknown threw on the territory of diplomatic office an unidentified explosive device’, police clarified.

Nobody got injured as a result of explosion.

The criminal proceeding on art. 258 (Terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was opened.

Law enforcements are holding operative-search measures to identify involved in the crime.
