Crimean ‘saboteur’ served in AFU, but was fired

Detained in occupied by Russia Crimea the citizen of Ukraine Gennady Limeshko, which is acused by FSB in the preparation of sabotage, had been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract, but was fired in May of current year. ‘This man served in military service of AFU under contract from November 2016 to May 2017.

He was dismissed under the article ‘service mismatch’, the employee of PR dept. Of AFU Uzef Venskovich reported.

He clarified that Limeshko served in one of the units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was dismissed in connection with a systematic violation of discipline.

Earlier FSB RF has reported that on August 12 in occupied Crimea SBU agent was ostensibly detained. It was reported that detainee Gennady Limeshko is native of Kharkiv region, who earlier served in ATO zone. Security Services of Russia suspend him in the preparation of sabotages on the annexed peninsula.

Court of occupants has chosen on August 14 the preventive measure for detainee in the form of two months in custody.

Later SBU claimed that the detention of Ukrainian citizen by Russian security services on the territory of annexed Crimea is a regular provocation from the side of FSB.
