Russian language will be expelled from the scroll of subjects on which, on the basis of a general complete secondary education, pupils pass an external independent evaluation. Ukrainian mass media reported about it.
New list of subjects was approved by an order of the Ministry of Education and Science, which entered into force on September 8.
‘Every registered participant of external independent estimation (EIE) has a right to pass tests not more than on four subjects from the list’, tells the document.
Totally 11 subjects are approved: Ukrainian language and literature, history of Ukraine, mathematics, biology, geography, physics, chemistry, English , Spanish, German and French languages.
EIE results for graduates on four subjects – Ukrainian language and literature, history of Ukraine, mathematics and one more appointed in the list – will be counted as the results of the state final certification for the educational level of complete general secondary education.
Next year tests of two levels of difficulty B1 and B2 will be used next year to hold EIE.
An order specified the dates of holding an EIE in 2018. It will be held from May 22 to July 14.
