Fines for drunk driving could be raised up to 40 000 UAH (~$1520). Relevant bill was registered in Verkhovna Rada. UNIAN has reported about it.

It’s going to be that police will have a right to hold systematic drivers checks on the state of alcohol intoxication.

‘So, appointed sigh must be put in the check zone. And stopping/turning the car in front of him involves a mandatory examination of the driver for alcohol intoxication. The decision on the forthcoming inspection and its details (place, sample) is taken by the head of the patrol police’, tells the message.

According to the information of the police, only this year nearly 40 000 protocols on drunk driving has been compiled and registered in Ukraine.
