Peacemakers in Donbass: blue helmets on the Russian and Ukrainian border are not the sense for Kremlin

Russian authorities don’t see the sense in the deployment of UN security mission on the Russian and Ukrainian border. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Gennady Gatilov has claimed about it according to TASS report.

‘They (representatives of Ukraine – ed.) want the UN-peacekeepers deployment all around Ukraine, including Russian and Ukrainian border. Russia is not a side in this conflict, that’s why there is no sense in such deploy’, he claimed.

According to official words, Minsk agreements have ‘a number of issues, which must be solved before the case comes to the talk about Russian and Ukrainian border’.

‘Ukrainians all put upside down – the first thing they want to overlap the border of Russia with Ukraine, and then decide whether or not to address issues related to other aspects of the settlement’, he noted.

According to Gatilov opinion such an approach contradicts Minsk agreements.

We would remind that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Security Service of Ukraine to include Russian Federation in the list of countries of migration risk.
