The head of the Ministry of the Justice Of Ukraine Pavel Petrenko has claimed that the union of all claims of Ukraine to the Russian Federation in one is impossible. ‘Interfax-Ukraine’ has reported about it.
According to Petrenko’s words ‘we’re involved in any claims that relate to violations by the aggressor state’.
‘There are a number of claims in different courts at the moment. This is about the UN International Court of Justice too. It has its own procedure and we got there and it’s in fact, two statements that concern the discrimination of Ukrainians in the Crimea and the prohibition of financing and terrorism of the Russian Federation. There are also five big claims in ECHR. There are a number of lawsuits filed by state companies against the Russian Federation, related to the loss of property in the territory of the Crimea and the Donbass. Also, Ukraine filed an application with the International Criminal Court regarding the events that took place in Crimea and Donbass’, Petrenko stressed.
He added that to join all these facts in one claim is impossible ‘because they’re considered by different court institutions’.
