The screen adaptation of the biography of one of the most well-known national writers Lesya Ukrainka is going to be done in Ukraine. The ‘NV’ edition reported about it.
Also it’s known that biopic script was chosen to take part in the program for the screenwriters of ScripTeast.
The picture has got the working title ‘Uzlissya’. The story of life of a woman from early to late days will be shown in the film.
The script about well-known writer was written by Alexandra Lavrenchuk.
Еру general producer of the Odessa International Film Festival Оulia Sinkevich (JS Films) and Maria Moskalenko (FX FILM Georgia) have become producer, creator and co-producer accordingly.
‘The idea to shot a film about Lesya Ukrainka appeared spontaneously, when Maria Moskalenko and me were driving past Surami, where the poet died. It seemed to me that there were certainly films about desytiny of Lesya Ukrainka and this topic is on the surface, but when I began to study a lot of material on the poet’s work, I realized that there were no practically films about it. The only called ‘I’m Coming to You’, filmed in 1971’, Sinkevich told.
