Hungary and Romania are together against new Ukrainian ‘Education Act’ and also bills about language and citizenship. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siyatro claimed about it, Radio Liberty writes.
According to his opinion Ukrainian ‘Education Act’ contradicts the agreement on association between Ukraine and the EU. The adoption of the law was like a ‘blow in the back’ of Hungary and Romania.
Siyatro noted that more than half a million of Hungarians and Romanians live in Ukraine that’s why both countries are together against this act.
According to Hungarian MFA head words if Rada legislatively adopts the proposals of the parliamentary commission on culture, ‘the cultural and educational opportunities of the Hungarian and Romanian minorities will be significantly narrowed’, and Hungary and Romania will fight together against this.
