‘Opposition bloc’ leader: actually the bill on reintegration cuts the part of Donbass

The bill on reintegration of Donbass doesn’t provide the recovery of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and respectively it won’t work for the state. The ‘Opposition bloc’ leader Jury Boiko has claimed about it, commenting the voting for bills No.7163 and No.7164. The website of a party tells about it.

According to Boiko’s words the ‘Opposition bloc’ was categorically against the bill No.7163 (the law draft on Donbass reintegration), because in fact the part of Donbass is curt by it.

‘This law is harmful, it doesn’t give a mechanism of recovery of the territorial integrity and and respectively it won’t work for the state. The adoption of law in such a view is, at least, the conservation of a conflict, and as maximum – exacerbation. What’s the use, that Russia was called aggressor once again? It could return areas and people? It’s absolutely empty declaration. That’s why we didn’t vote for it. This is the embodiment of the political ambitions of the ‘war party’. This law won’t bring any well to the country’, he accented.

Boiko noted that law draft on the continuing of a special status in NGCA (No.1764) was supported by few opposition members.

‘To be candid, there were controversial points concerning the extension period (of a special status – ed.). But we’re considering this law as symbol of the compromise in the society, as it should be. Society must look forward and have a chance at a peaceful settlement. Compromise, exactly, is the special status of these territories for a period to restore infrastructure and return people to a peaceful life. It needs 3-5 years and special status must be introduced for this period’, he emphasized.
