Athlete from Donetsk region won in Kyiv marathon

On October 8 VIII Kyiv marathon took place in the capital of Ukraine. More than 10 000 athletes from 52 countries participated in it. The champion of Ukraine Artem Poddubny from Bakhmut (Donetsk region) became a winner with a large margin.

It’s noted that Artem overcame 42.195 km for 2 hours 24 minutes and 20 seconds. The second place was taken by Anatoly Bondarenko, finished after 6 minutes 15 seconds (2:30:35) and Vladimir Vaskov ceded to the winner for more than seven minutes (2:31:39) became a bronze winner.

It’s a second win Poddubny for last three weeks. Earlier, he became a champion of Ukraine on the run at this distance in Dnipro. Moreover, at the beginning of May he won Kharkiv half-a-marathon.
