The action of protest of the supporters of an ex-governor of Odessa region, the leader of ‘Rukh Novykh Syl’ party Mikheil Saakashvili and a number of other opposition politicians is taking place under the walls of Verkhovna Rada. Ukrainian media has reported about it.
Organizers and participants of the event demand from parliament to cancel a deputy immunity, change the electoral legislation, making party lists open, and also create an anti-corruption court.
The Governmental area is blocked from the early morning.
‘Good morning. The whole quarter is surrounded by shields. Passage to the Constitution Square only through the framework. The parliament building is surrounded by a double chain of national guard and police’, MP Mustapha Nayyem made a post in his Facebook.
We note that today on October 17, the consideration by the Verkhovna Rada in the second reading of the bill on the reintegration of Donbass is being expected. A number of political parties are against of it.
It’s expected too that protest actions will also be held in the other cities of Ukraine.
